The Inspiration
It all began when we looked at the range of saddle hanger jewelry available and realised that there were very few options that offered softer or more elegant looks.
While the alternative scene is filled with such a rich tapestry of styles, the most common styles for saddle hangers were either gritty and grungy or staple and minimalist. So we decided to create a piece that would carve out and proudly own a space that could offer a more contemporary look.
Pulling inspiration from the designs of fine and demi-fine jewelry that we love, we were able to create a union of styles like never seen before...
The Process
We got down to the smallest details possible!
From inspiration to prototype, the entire development process took us roughly 4 months. During this time, we had to make many changes and shifts to ensure that the final design would not only look good but fit well and wear like a dream.
Due to the design’s wider flare, many adjustments had to be made to the thickness of the hangers’ walls and the overall size of the design. (We actually went through 3 prototypes before reaching our final design!)
This original design is available in sizes ranging from 8mm to 26mm. For those with stretched ears above 26mm, we got you – the 26mm size option will give the same uncompromised look with a relaxed fit and still feel perfectly secure.
